read on to find out all about sabene's creative side hustle....
what did you want to be when you grew up?
when i was five i was desperate to be a police woman. it’s possible i’d watched too many episodes of CHIPS. i’ve always been creative and eventually i did an industrial design degree which provided me with a great many skills that i use in my art.
how long have you been a maiocchi girl?
about 3 (lovely!) months.
what is your role at maiocchi?
i'm the paddington store stylist on mondays and tuesdays.
what is your favourite thing about being part of the maiocchi family?
i love that i get to work for a successful local business located in my very own neighbourhood of paddington.
what led you to maiocchi career or study wise?
having worked next door at olive for 15 years, i jumped at the chance to work at maiocchi when the girls asked if i’d be interested.
what do you get up to when you’re not being a maiocchi girl?
i am an artist. my tiny business, 'little swallow art' keeps me very busy painting works that i sell through my website, as well as fulfilling all the lovely commissions that come my way.
what’s your favourite piece from the ‘pretty please’ collection?
the 'crowd pleaser' jumpsuit in black, i love its versatility. it looks great with a beautiful flat sandal and a maiocchi obi belt, and, it looks fabulous with a heel, wide black belt and amazing chandelier earrings.
what's your secret style tip?
a great hairdresser! i see both heather and bella at little hair nest in paddington.
what's your fave place to eat in brissie?
ps: sabene is wearing the 'spring in your step' dress xo
