meet our model employee... clarissa xo

we thought we'd introduce you to some of the fabulous women who make maiocchi happen and we're starting with the fabulous clarissa our head honcho in the city store.

we asked her all the difficult questions, and here's what our singing superstar had to say...

what did you want to be when you grew up?

i wanted to be a florist, i have done certificates 2 and 3 in floristry which i just loved, it's probably why i favour all of the floral printed maiocchi frocks.

how long have you been a maiocchi girl?

10 glorious months!

what is your role at maiocchi?

store manager of the brisbane city store

what is your favourite thing about being part of the maiocchi family?

working for a local business who has stood the test of time in retail & helping all our beautiful customers feel just that bit better about themselves in a maiocchi frock!

what led you to maiocchi career or study wise?

a long time ago i was on holidays in brisbane (from sydney) & i bought three maiocchi dresses that i wore to death & just loved. so when i moved to brissie & the opportunity to work for the brand came up, it was too good to pass up.

what do you get up to when you’re not being a maiocchi girl?

i am a professional opera singer by trade so i still work casually for opera queensland & as a freelance singer when time permits.... my friends call me DAME C!

what’s your favourite piece from the ‘pretty please’ collection?

i am loving the 'spoonful of sugar' dress, it's so comfy & easy to wear & is made from cotton, so it’s nice & cool to wear.

what's your secret style tip?

put your lippy on... everything looks better with lippy!

what's your fave place to eat in brissie?

a little unknown restaurant in sherwood called sweet & spice. the food is always amazing & it’s cheap.

ps: clarissa is wearing the 'frill of it' dress in black xo

HOW TO MEASURE YOURSELF

When you are measuring yourself if possible do so in front of the mirror to ensure the tape measure is horizontally positioned around your body.

Hold the tape measure close against your body but not too tight

Tip: always wear the underwear you plan to wear with the garment

Bust
measure the fullest part of your bust ensuring the tape measure is even and horizontal at the back.

Waist
your waist is the smallest part of your torso; it is usually a few centimetres above your belly button. Wrap the tape measure around your waist, ensuring it is comfortable but not loose.

Hip
this measurement is taken at the widest part of your body. measure around the fullest part of your bottom or at the top of your thighs, which ever is widest. Make sure the tape measure is even and horizontal at the back.
