To celebrate International Women’s Day, we hosted a little gathering for our Maiocchi Mavens.

On Sunday afternoon our Brisbane store was filled with colourful frocks, sweet treats, bubbles and a room full of incredible women.
It was such a lovely afternoon. I always love seeing the Mavens in their Maiocchi frocks from over the years, and it reminds me exactly why I still love doing this after 25 years…

And plenty of laughter echoing through the shop.
It felt less like an event and more like a big, joyful catch-up.
Celebrating Women Supporting Women
International Women’s Day is all about recognizing the strength, creativity and achievements of women - and that’s something that has always been at the heart of Maiocchi.
From the artists who create our prints, to my amazing female team, to the incredible community of customers who wear our frocks - Maiocchi has always been built on women supporting women.
So it felt very fitting to spend the afternoon surrounded by so many incredible women.
I’m always so impressed by the amazing, successful, funny and all-round wonderful women I get to dress.
Frocks, Brownies and Good Company
There were sweet treats from Hypercater, brownies to take home from i heart brownies, champagne flowing, and lots of browsing through the latest Maiocchi pieces.
One of my favourite moments was seeing three ladies all wearing the same style dress in different prints - each one styled completely differently and looking fabulous in their own way.
That’s one of the things I love most about fashion - the way the same piece can tell a different story on every woman who wears it.
The Maiocchi Community
This year marks 25 years since I started Maiocchi, and running a small Australian fashion brand for that long is something I feel incredibly grateful for.
But what makes it truly special is the community that has grown around it.
When I first started Maiocchi 25 years ago, I never imagined the incredible community that would grow around it.
Seeing so many Mavens together in the shop on Sunday - many of you who have been wearing Maiocchi for years - was a really special reminder of how lucky I am to still be doing what I love.
The Maiocchi Mavens are more than customers - you’re the women who cheer each other on, share styling ideas, give feedback, and bring so much joy and colour to this brand.
Seeing so many of you together in the shop on Sunday was a real reminder of how lucky we are to have such a wonderful community.
