at maiocchi, we're passionate about celebrating all of the fabulous women who wear our frocks, we really are very lucky to be dressing some of the most clever, fabulous and fun ladies in all of the land!
we always make sure our dresses fit and flatter different shapes and sizes, it's one of our most important jobs.
for our recent 'wannabee soiree' in the paddington store, we featured six of our favourite maiocchi ladies as the models in our parade.
they are all the most fabulous of women and they looked fabulous as well! they had their hair done at the blow dry room, and their make up done by sally williams beauty and they totally rocked the runway! after the parade we did a little photoshoot with kate luke photography - such a great day!
a big thank you to these six fabulous women, and a big thank you to all of the fabulous women out there who wear maiocchi frocks... you ARE our brand, and we love seeing how you make it your own.
throughout this week we are introducing you to our six models...
we will start with the lovely sam...
what do you do when you are not being a maiocchi model?
i love getting out & about with friends and family and making memories, seeing shows, enjoying cocktails and visiting markets, boutiques or vintage stores for the perfect find.
i am also a hard working fundraiser for the ovarian cancer research foundation - especially in frocktober - when i wear a frock a day - most of them maiocchi!
when did you buy your first maiocchi dress?
it was from the wintergarden store - i reckon it would have been in about 2007. i couldn’t decide which one, so i bought two!
describe yourself in 3 words…
hardworking, optimistic and fun-loving.
which is your fave dress from the ‘wannabee’ collection?
i have three! ( in this order if you only need one! ) 1. the butterfly kisses in sapphire, 2. the frill frenzy dress in the floral, 3. the out of the blue dress in sapphire. oh, and I love my spots cape, plum crazy jacket & wiggle top! ( i’m clearly a big maiocchi fan! )
what’s the best place or occasion you have worn a maiocchi dress?
i wore maiocchi when I spoke at UNESCO in paris and later that day sipped champagne at the top of the eiffel tower… a very memorable day!
what would you like to see maiocchi feature on their upcoming prints?
i love bright colour, mixed prints and florals. i’m a huge fan of the japanese cotton & prints that made me fall in love with maiocchi all those years ago. i can’t resist a bright floral print!
