we thought we'd introduce you to some of the fabulous women who make maiocchi happen.. meet CATHIE - dee says she is the 'real' boss at maiocchi as she pretty much runs the whole show at maiocchi HQ!
we asked her all the difficult questions, and here's what she had to say...
what did you want to be when you grew up?
originally i wanted to work into the banking industry, but i soon realised that this would be too repetitive and not creative enough.
i wanted to learn and gain as many opportunities as possible, which led me to the fashion industry by accidentally falling into this field.
i quickly realised i love the vibe of the industry and this is the reason i am still doing it today.
how long have you been a maiocchi girl?
2 years
what is your role at maiocchi?
operations manager at head office.
what is your favourite thing about being part of the maiocchi family?
i really enjoy being part of a small family business, as you feel connected to how it all began.
it is inspiring to see the designs and the collaboration of prints with local artists from brisbane.
what led you to maiocchi career or study wise?
i have worked in the fashion industry for over 30 years, many of those years were in sydney.
moving to brisbane and discovering the maiocchi brand, lead me to my position and working closely with dee.
what do you get up to when you’re not being a maiocchi girl?
spending time with family & friends and getting away on holidays.
what’s your favourite piece from the ‘pretty please’ collection?
i love the 'crowd pleaser' jumpsuit... the prints and fit of this style just flows on many different body shapes and is just right for this season.
what's your secret style tip?
a pedicure and fun sparkly sandals is all you need for spring / summer.
what's your fave place to eat in brissie?
the new precinct at howard smith wharfs has many great places to eat.
