Back in 2013, we did a big rebrand at Maiocchi. We wanted our swing tags and our bags to be fun and fabulous (like us!) and to encapsulate all the things we love about living a colourful life.
For this we enlisted the help of uber talented Melbourne artist Sasha Heath from @hellotomatostudio. We gave her an abundance of ideas of cute things we loved and she managed to work them all into one gorgeous sketch for us.
8 years later, we still love this design just as much and we always get comments about our beautiful swing tags and bags.
When lockdown hit at the beginning of 2020, we did a colouring in competition featuring our beautiful illustration and I was so thrilled to see everyone’s colourful entries that it inspired me to work them into a fabric print.
The end result is our ‘A Colourful Life’ collection, and it's choc-ful of cuteness with balloon animals, mushrooms, birds and bunny rabbits – what more could you ask for!
A Colourful Life is one of my favourite types of prints... when you look at it from a distance, it looks gorgeous, but its not in your face. It's like something you could wear to work or to a wedding, but when you look more closely - you see all the fun little details, and the more you look at it the more little details you notice.
